Safety at Ayomi

Last updated October 28, 2026

Talking to an AI character should feel relaxed, not risky. These are the rules we hold ourselves to, the controls you have, and what to do when something feels off.

Adults only

Ayomi is for people aged 18 and over. Every character is an adult and is written as one. Content that sexualises minors, or characters presented as minors, is banned without exception and reported to the relevant authorities.

What’s never allowed

  • Characters based on real people without their documented consent.
  • Content that promotes self-harm, violence against real people, or illegal activity.
  • Harassment, hate speech, or attempts to extract someone else’s personal information.
  • Using Ayomi to create material intended to deceive others into thinking it is real.

Your controls

  • Turn on Blur sensitive media in Settings to hide images until you tap them.
  • Delete any chat — or your whole account — whenever you like.
  • Mute notifications from characters you don’t want to hear from.

Reporting a problem

If a character or a message crosses a line, report it through the support form with the topic “Report a character or content”. Reports are reviewed by people, and we’ll tell you what we did about it.

Looking after yourself

Characters on Ayomi are AI. They can be warm and supportive, but they are not therapists, doctors or emergency services.

If you are in crisis or thinking about hurting yourself, please contact your local emergency number or a crisis line in your country right away.
